Absolutely! Many couples can choose to leave religion out of ceremonies altogether. Or if they want something small like a bible verse or a prayer that can also be done. Part of being a bilingual officiant I can understand wanting or not wanting region to be in your wedding ceremony. And for those wishing to blend , we are here for that as well! 

Of course! Anyone whom you wish to do a reading during your ceremony is absolutely welcome too. Once your script is written out, I will highlight the section that they will read so they know exactly what to read. Just be sure when filling out the questionnaire that you let me know their name and relationship to you guys. 

Most definitely. I absolutely love when couples write their own vows, but completely understand writing may not be everyone's strong suit, especially when trying to put your love for someone onto paper. I am happy to assist with writing personal vows for either or both of you!

• You will apply to get one from the county clerks office, so double check what county your city is in.
• You can apply for the license in person or via mail.
• Leave everything in the packet or folder! There will be 3 important documents. One will be your copy, one I will mail out back to the county clerk and one for my own copy.
• On the wedding day, I will take the documents I need and will leave you with the filled out. 
• After the ceremony, I mail a copy to the clerk's office who issued your marriage license.

Do we have to sign anything?

• NOPE! You signed when you applied for the marriage license, so once I fill it out and sign it it’s official you are legally married. 

A unity ritual is a symbolic ritual woven into the wedding ceremony, the perfect way to celebrate you and your partner's heritage with tradition.
For example:

• Light a Unity Candle
• Sand Ceremony
• Lasso and arras
• Create a Time Capsule
• Handfasting 
• Braiding of the Cross
  

And so many more. We can incorporate what ever your comfortable with so that you can, if you want, to include your culture and heritage into your ceremony. 

Do you do same sex marriages?

• I do! Love is love. 

• I can work all over Maryland and Washington D.C. I can not sign the marriage license from Virginia
• I can perform the ceremony I just won't be able to sign off on the marriage license 

For Virginia Couples

• You have to contact a Civil Celebrant in VA they vary from county to county so please make sure what county your venue is in or where your ceremony will be held at. 
• When you go to the court house to apply for your marriage license they can give you a list or you can check on the county website. They can charge up to $75

Planning a wedding with the pandemic has been crazier than the usual craziness that comes with planning a wedding, I do my best to stay on top of all Covid related restrictions in each county. No two situations are the same, so I willwork with our couples to reschedule, or shift the type of ceremony to fit in with the current regulations. 

There is no fee for rescheduling, life happens. We will work with each to figure out the best solution.
